What we do
One brand at a time, built to be genuinely better than what it replaces.
We are deliberately small and deliberately slow to add things. A product only earns a place if it beats what a buyer would otherwise pick, side by side, on the shelf where they are actually choosing.
Every figure traces to a primary source.
Tax numbers come from the IRS instructions themselves, dated, and are re-checked when the rules move. When a mid-year rule change landed in 2026, our mileage pages carry both halves of the year, and will do so when the book goes to print. We would rather ship a smaller claim we can prove than a larger one we cannot.
Fewer things, each one worth owning.
A product that is merely present earns nothing and costs the brand that made it. So we would rather publish one title a year that beats what a buyer would otherwise pick, side by side, than fill a shelf with things nobody would choose twice.
We do not buy our reputation.
No paid reviews, no incentives offered for ratings, no borrowed credibility. What people say about our products is theirs to say, including when it is critical, and a critical review from someone who really used the thing is more useful to the next buyer than a kind one.
